# Elm String Normalize

This package contains a function for normalizing diacritics in a string.

It is a faster version of String.Normalize.removeDiacritics from
https://package.elm-lang.org/packages/kuon/elm-string-normalize/1.0.2
(It's about 20x faster for ASCII strings that don't contains any
diacritics, and about 5x faster for strings that are all outside
the ASCII range.)

This library is useful for normalizing strings before sorting them,
for more natural sorting.

While this library will remove diacritics for easier string matching, it will
NOT cleanup all unicode characters. This means that Homoglyph will be
preserved.
