elmw/extra-boolean/1.0.1

NOTE: the latest version is 1.3.6

Renamed to nodef/extra-boolean.elm. That is where the repository lives now. It has not been published as a package under the new name.

Versions published as elmw/extra-boolean still install under that name. 20 versions of 20 come from the new location (see their notes).

Rerouted (renamed, verified). The GitHub user or repository was renamed. The tag is still there, at the new name. The Lamdera package server serves a copy recovered from https://github.com/nodef/extra-boolean.elm.

What we checked: The repo moved to github.com/nodef/extra-boolean.elm. Rebuilt with git archive from commit 9d6c756f298c of https://github.com/nodef/extra-boolean.elm (zip prefix elmw-extra-boolean-2ef2236/, America/Los_Angeles times): the zip is byte-identical to the one package.elm-lang.org recorded, SHA-1 0bb059a3699754deece52f240d55d6230634add6.

The Lamdera compiler uses this copy and prints a one-line notice saying so. elm itself fails to download this version.

Boolean

Boolean data type has two possible truth values to represent logic.

parse : String -> Bool

Convert string to boolean.

-- s: a string
parse "not true" == False
parse "inactive" == False
parse "not off"  == True
parse "truthy"   == True
xor : Bool -> Bool -> Bool

Get exclusive-or of 2 boolean values.

-- x: first
-- y: second
xor True True  == False
xor True False == True
eqv : Bool -> Bool -> Bool

Check if antecedent ⇔ consequent (x ⇔ y).

-- x: antecedent
-- y: consequent
eqv False False == True
eqv True True   == True
eqv False True  == False
eqv True False  == False
imp : Bool -> Bool -> Bool

Check if antecedent ⇒ consequent (x ⇒ y).

-- x: antecedent
-- y: consequent
imp False False == True
imp False True  == True
imp True True   == True
imp True False  == False
