Renamed to bellroy/elm-email. It is published under that name, and new versions come out there.
Versions published as tricycle/elm-email still install under that name. 4 versions of 5 come from the new location (see their notes). 1 version could not be recovered and cannot be installed.
Rerouted (fork, verified). The original repository is gone. This copy comes from a fork that still has the tag. The Lamdera package server serves a copy recovered from https://github.com/robmagary/elm-email (a fork).
What we checked: Rebuilt with git archive from commit f832cac54546 of https://github.com/robmagary/elm-email (a fork) (zip prefix tricycle-elm-email-1e5349a/, America/Los_Angeles times): the zip is byte-identical to the one package.elm-lang.org recorded, SHA-1 0d884d58164f702d6e0d312ec6b60b9edea891bb.
The Lamdera compiler uses this copy and prints a one-line notice saying so. elm itself fails to download this version.

Parses email addresses safely
Validating email addresses using Regex is a pain.
So far I personally have never found the one Regex to rule them all.
Having the ability to parse email addresses from String not only means they are validated, but also adds the ability to then add your own additional validations on parts of the email address that might be specific to your application or such.
import Email
parsedEmail: Maybe Email
parsedEmail =
Email.fromString "[email protected]"
-- Result
Just
{ localPart = "simple"
, tags = [ "tag" ]
, domain = "example"
, tld = [ "com", "au"]
}
